The following is a joint statement issued by the governments of the Democratic People's Republic of Erusia and the Empire of New Europe concerning the war:
- In a recent communique dispatched to the office of the Supreme People's Commissioner, the Imperial Government of the Empire of New Europe has expressed it's desire to end this conflict. The Imperial Government has expressed frustration at the political and personal attacks made against it and it's officials, and recognising that this warm has begun too hastily, expressed a desire to begin long but painful peace talks. The Central People's Government of Erusia has in turn sympathised with the Imperial Government, noting that this war is proving costly in terms of vital resources and is serving to destabilise this community. In light of this, through a series of communiques and letters, we have reached an agreement to hold an intermicronational peace conference on July 22nd 2009 at 8pm GMT. We ask all members of the Grand Unified Micronational available to attend to please do so.
This meeting will be held in the GUM room.
