The Empire of Kapreburg is a micronation located in a southwest suburb of Chicago. It was founded on 1 January 2018.
History[]
Zekia[]
The Republic of Zekia was founded on 27 September 2012 by Jackson I, at the time Jack Morris. He founded Zekia after being inspired by his brother, Prince Ryan of Kapreburg, at the time Ryan Walker, who founded the Principality of Riloia. Through out 2012 to 2017, Zekia had multiple, random, bursts of activity and inactivity, most notably in the Summer of 2015 and most of 2017.
Protzyka[]
In September of 2017, Jack Morris renamed the Republic of Zekia to the Protzkyan World Republic. Protzkya was quickly forgotten about, and was in a state of inactivity for the rest of it's life.
Kapreburg[]
Federation of Kapreburg[]
On 1 January 2018, Jack Morris found interest in micronationalism again, this time founding the Federation of Kapreburg. It was heavily inspired by the Soviet Union. The Federation of Kapreburg held one Presidential election, which Jack Morris won against James Holmes. In December of 2018, Jack Morris and Aidan McGrath of the Catholique Socialist Republic committed the Black December Hackings, where they claim to have temporarily shut down the internet in Drietsland. This claim is still disputed to this day.
Republic of Kapreburg[]
On 22 January 2019, Jack Morris began to grow a dislike for communism and socialism, and changed the Federation of Kapreburg from a one party, communist, totalitarian state to a democratic Republic. In May 2019, Aidan McGrath, who was at the time the King of the Kingdom of Quebec, and Cameron I of Ikonia suggested to Jack Morris about turning the Republic into a monarchy. Morris held a vote in Congress and they unanimously decided to turn Kapreburg into a monarchy.
Empire of Kapreburg[]
On 17 May 2019, Jack Morris was crowned Tsar Jackson I of Kapreburg. On 22 September 2019, Cameron Koehler became the Prime Minister. In October 2019 he started the Royal Navy with Ayden Mayes. On 17 May 2020, Jackson became a King. On 20 August 2020 Prime Minister Cameron Koehler resigned, and Deputy Prime Minister Isaiah Rivera became acting Prime Minister.
